Our Insights into Authentication in the Passwordless era
The modern workforce depends heavily on accessible and highly scalable cloud services and SaaS applications, providing employees a wide range of solutions wherever they are.
Passwordless authentication takes the most vulnerable aspect of cyber security – user-managed passwords – and replaces it with a high-assurance Multi-Factor Authentication that’s quick to deploy, easy to use, and keeps everyone safe.
“Logging in to any cloud platform is easy and fast: When users enter their username, the cloud service will redirect the request to the on-prem Octopus authentication server via a DMZ relay. The Octopus server then sends a highly secure and interception-resistant push notification to the user’s smartphone, and once the user identifies and approves, the authentication server generates a new SAML token and sends it to the cloud service which immediately grants access.”
